Guests were invited to celebrate this significant expansion at 91st Street, close to Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum situated on Madison Avenue. This remarkable occasion was announced with invitations featuring an outline shape symbolizing Place Vendôme – an eloquent nod to Boucheron’s French roots and prestige.

The exquisite venue, a mansion once belonging to industrial tycoon Andrew Carnegie and now a sanctuary for design and architecture enthusiasts, was transformed into an extended gallery space. Exhibiting both archival and newly created pieces from Boucheron’s collection, it drew admiring crowds to its maze-like galleries.

Highlighted pieces ranged from historic treasures like an art nouveau butterfly brooch dating back to 1900 worn by Elizabeth Taylor as a hairpiece at the 1976 Oscars, to forward-thinking marvels like ‘Quatre 5D memory.’ This new ring is quite futuristic with vast amounts of sound data encoded into nanostructured glass expected to be preserved for billions of years.

Attending guests expressed particular admiration for a staggering diamond necklace reaching nearly to the floor. This magnificent creation swayed gracefully under the soft breeze generated by passing admirers. Crafted in Boucheron’s workshops after investing 3,000 hours of diligent workmanship, this masterpiece comprised of over 1816 diamonds spanned an extraordinary length of 148 cm shattering records as the longest piece ever made by Boucheron.

This grand exhibition culminated in a lively cocktail party held at the museum garden where the crowd murmured exciting conversations amidst twinkling stemware reflecting dazzling diamonds worn by attending celebrities including Hailee Steinfeld, K-Pop star Mina and Gwyneth Paltrow. Leon Bridges added to the glittering atmosphere with a fantastic performance as onlookers gathered beyond the garden’s gates bearing witness to Boucheron’s thrilling commencement of its new chapter in Manhattan.

This successful launch of Boucheron’s first New York boutique definitely conveys a promising message – this time-honored French jeweler is only expanding and growing, continually tying remarkable, inspiring memories into its history while stepping steadily towards an exciting and innovative future.
