The fall Dominnico collection for 2024, led by Domingo Rodríguez Lázar, in Spain, was intricately inspired by Y2K nostalgia and sports. Rodriguez delved into après-ski fashion, transforming ski suits into chic mini dresses and exploring various snow-centric pieces like hats, vests, and cropped fur jackets. A delicate blend of pinks and lilacs formed the collection’s base colors, accentuated by tones of gray, black, and beige.
Spanish designer Domingo Rodríguez Lázar expressed the uniqueness of this collection through the fusion of materials such as wool, upholstery, and fur within single garments. The innovative use of tie-dye techniques alongside a diverse color palette added depth to the pieces. Notably, upcycled denim and recycled furs were meticulously crafted to breathe new life into materials that had completed their previous lifecycle.
This creative endeavor not only displayed an artistic interpretation but also aimed to represent a generation while embracing sustainability through material reincarnation. Rodriguez’s Fall 2024 collection excelled in blending nostalgia with modernity while championing eco-conscious practices in the fashion industry.
