Fresh from gracing the Met Gala red carpet, Lily Gladstone’s schedule shows no sign of slowing down. Currently, she finds herself in the picturesque South of France for a month-long stint as a jury member at the prestigious 77th annual Cannes Film Festival. On the grand opening night, amidst a star-studded red carpet affair, Gladstone’s look was inspired by “South of France old Hollywood glamour,” reveals her hairstylist Marc Mena. Nick Barose, her makeup artist, opted for a soft and fresh makeup style with a hint of ’70s flair to complement the ensemble.

Cannes’ coastal location is known for its humidity, coupled with rainy forecasts; Mena took precautions. Embracing the inevitable weather conditions, he crafted a hairstyle that embraced humidity’s effect rather than resisted it. Using products like volumizing mousse, thickening spray, and heat protectant from Better Not Younger, Mena prepped her hair before styling with precision using a round brush and curling iron. To set it all in place? Plenty of hairspray.

Barose focused on enhancing Gladstone’s eyes, incorporating a stunning brow-bone reflection achieved with Cheekbone Beauty’s Fearless Eyeshadow Pencil in Honey Calcite. The final touch was Le Rouge Français’ shimmery navy mascara applied to her lashes. This choice created a striking contrast between the light ivory shade and deep blue mascara that accentuated her brown eyes without intensifying the smoky effect.

As Lily Gladstone continues to grace various high-profile events with her elegant presence and impeccable style choices, her collaboration with skilled beauty experts elevates her appearance to new heights on each occasion.
