Miami, FL – February 27, 2024 – The Global Massage Makes Me Happy and Healthy initiative is dedicated to raising awareness about the numerous benefits of massage therapy, recognizing the hard work of massage therapists, and organizing an annual online celebration on March 20th known as “Global Massage Makes Me Happy and Healthy Day”. This initiative highlights how massage therapy can alleviate muscle pain, reduce stress levels, enhance immunity, and improve sleep quality for individuals of all demographics.
Research conducted by the non-profit organization Global Wellness Institute (GWI) has indicated that massage plays a crucial role in supporting both physical and emotional well-being. Dr. Tiffany Field, the Founder & Director of the University of Miami School of Medicine’s Touch Research Institute and a medical spokesperson for GWI’s Massage Makes Me Happy and Healthy Initiative, emphasized that decades of research have demonstrated that massage can aid in addressing various chronic health issues.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the “Massage Makes Me Happy and Healthy Day” celebration by joining an hour-long Zoom event on March 20th. During this event, a panel of experts will discuss the latest wellness and massage trends for 2024 while shedding light on the benefits of massage therapy for overall wellness encompassing mind, body, and spirit.
