    The ISPA Conference in Phoenix was nothing short of magical. This year, the event celebrated its 34th annual gathering, attracting over 2,200 attendees and 208 brands—an impressive turnout with many first-timers present.

    One highlight of the conference was the release of the 2024 ISPA U.S. Spa Industry Study. The study revealed encouraging statistics: a nearly 6 percent increase in revenue to $21.3 billion, 182 million spa visits, 21,840 locations, $117.20 revenue per visit, and a total of 370,100 employees contributing to the industry.

    Industry veteran Nancy Griffin shared her optimism about the event as she felt a sense of recovery from the pandemic within the spa industry. Key themes of resilience and giving back resonated throughout the conference, culminating in an inspiring keynote by Justin Wren, founder of Fight for the Forgotten and recipient of the 2024 ISPA Alex Szekely Humanitarian of the Year Award.

    Several other notable individuals were recognized at the conference: Michael Tompkins received the ISPA Visionary Award, and Tammy Pahel earned the ISPA Dedicated Contributor Award.

    The ISPA Conference also featured accolades for exhibitors’ creativity through awards like Best Inline/Linear Booth and Superstar Team recognition. Additionally, various brands across different categories showcased innovative products that caught attendees’ attention.

    From skincare to body care products, brands like Akar Skin, BABOR, Codage, Hommage, Nelly De Vuyst offered unique formulations designed to cater to diverse skin needs. The emergence of sustainable brands like CauseMedic and Project Reef highlighted a growing trend towards eco-conscious beauty solutions.

    Innovations in luxury skincare were aplenty with brands such as Formulae Prescott and Madame Lemy standing out with their multifunctional products and thoughtful packaging designs.

    The event also showcased emerging trends like personalized skincare formulations by CODAGE and luxurious body care offerings from Charme d’Orient and Kusum Cosmetics.
